Our NGA Newswire Commercial Sales Team is responsible for bringing in advertising revenue to sustain and expand the company. However, our Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales jobs. You will also be part of NGA Newswire Creative Partnerships which is responsible for building brand activations around our content and productions using sponsorships, secondary program partnerships, content, product placement and digital integrations to build advertising campaigns for NGA Newswire clients.
NGA Newswire is adapting its strategy to reflect the dynamic, global market for local news and events by being a digitally led media company that creates and brings brilliant content to audiences, wherever, whenever and however they choose.
Establish relationships and build up an understanding of NGA Newswire platforms from a content partnerships perspective - e.g. Company Website, Twitter, YouTube, and other emerging or established digital platforms.
Create commercial frameworks and parameters for operating on NGA Newswire platforms including negotiation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual monetization agreements.
Establish Commercial / Partnerships on cross departmental projects e.g. print and video content.
Establish Commercial Partnerships on NGA Newswire platforms e.g. social media, broadcast and websites: identifying commercial viability of editorial content solutions; creating new ad and partnership opportunities.
Work closely with Digital Editorial teams across all genres e.g. News; Weather; Local, State and National News and Events; etc.
Work with broader team to scope digital aspects of a partnerships campaign including setting costing guidance.
Supporting the Partnership & Sales teams to sell through Creative Partnership campaigns from a digital perspective.
Seek out innovations within the digital space for NGA Newswire to explore as potential Creative Partnership solutions.
Successful candidates will have the following key skills:
Strong understanding of Digital/Media landscape.
Experience with advertising campaigns including social & digital content solutions for advertisers preferred but always open to highly motivated individuals with a desire to succeed.
Experience working in partnership with one or both of the following:- Twitter and Youtube is desirable.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Clear evidence of successfully crafting solutions and pitching ideas to clients and agencies or a strong desire and ability to develop these skills.
Proven ability to self-motivate, work independently and work collaboratively.
Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills.
Experience with data and analytics – experience working with analytics / business intelligence teams to answer business questions with data, and drawing insights and recommendations from data.
Media industry experience preferred but not essential.
Creative and innovative thinking to drive new ideas.
